General rental terms

  • Rental departures are between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Rental returns must be made before 10 a.m.

  • The full final payment for the rental stay will be invoiced 5 days before your rental stay date. A rental manager will contact you to validate your payment method, validate all your necessary paperwork and will send you an email to schedule your appointment time to take possession of your rental.

  • To execute a rental reservation, a deposit of 25% of the total is required. This deposit is not refundable. If you cancel more than 30 days in advance of your reservation date, you will obtain a credit for the total amount of your deposit which can be used at our store for 2 years following your cancellation (can be used at the parts store, for sale or for future rental).

  • A security deposit of $1000 per rental week will be taken at the start of the rental and refunded upon return from the rental, subject to vehicle inspection.

  • The age required to rent is 25 years old. It is MANDATORY that you have complete FAQ27 insurance for the rental of the recreational vehicle, you will need to provide proof that the rented trailer is insured. Some insurance companies may require additional coverage during your rental period. Validate this information with them since this condition is essential to your rental.

  • ROULOTTES GAUTHIER (described as landlord) provides the rental and authorizes the tenant to use the equipment described in this contract.

  • This agreement is a rental agreement only and does not constitute a conditional sale or otherwise. The recreational vehicle and the equipment will remain the exclusive property of ROULOTTES GAUTHIER.

  • ROULOTTES GAUTHIER is not responsible for the mechanical condition of the equipment and the tenant acknowledges having examined the recreational vehicle, having found it in good condition and having understood its operation (the tenant is free to take photos of the vehicle rental before departure).

  • The tenant undertakes not to give, lend, rent or sublet any equipment described in this contract, nor to overload the recreational vehicle.

  • The tenant will return the recreational vehicle in the same condition as at the start of the rental and is responsible for any damage, loss or theft to the equipment while it is in his possession. The tenant legally assumes all responsibilities in the event of an accident and releases ROULOTTES GAUTHIER from any or all legal liability. The recreational vehicle and equipment must under no circumstances be used for commercial purposes.

  • In the event that the rented items become lost, stolen, legally seized or burned, the tenant agrees to reimburse ROULOTTES GAUTHIER for the full value and will be responsible in all and for any damage caused to the recreational vehicle, tires, inner tube, etc. in short with respect to all the items rented.

  • If the recreational vehicle and all rented equipment have not been returned to the lessor on the agreed date, ROULOTTES GAUTHIER is entitled to charge penalty fees and reserves the right to immediately take all necessary legal steps to recover the recreational vehicle and equipment without further notice.

  • The landlord reserves the right to impose penalty fees for late arrivals.

  • Prices are subject to change without notice.

  • The renter agrees to clean the recreational vehicle or pay the $200.00 fee and return the recreational vehicle to the place where he rented it.

  • No agreement or obligation, whether tacit or oral, will affect this contract unless specified in the contract in writing.

  • It is prohibited to transport bicycles inside rental units

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the recreational vehicle, otherwise penalties will apply.

  • It is prohibited to have animals, regardless of type, inside the vehicle, otherwise penalties will apply.

  • When you take possession of the rental unit, the propane tanks are full and the vehicle is clean inside and out. The unit must be returned in the same condition as it was shipped, otherwise charges will apply.

  • In the event that a major problem arises during the rental period and the problem affects your stay or your daily use of the unit, you must contact us as soon as possible in order to carry out the necessary repairs. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES can you decide to carry out a repair or modification to the unit without our consent, otherwise you will be fully responsible for the costs incurred and an additional penalty may also apply.

  • The Quebec Ministry of Transport requires that all trailers weighing more than 1300kg have brakes and that the vehicles towing them have the appropriate controllers. The customer is responsible for having the correct hitch and brake controller.

  • Renters and their representatives are responsible for any damage caused to the rented vehicle or equipment. The tenant is responsible for costs related to road charges and/or all costs caused by a violation (photo radar, parking) and undertakes to pay the costs if an infraction occurs.
